Millions of people wear eye patches, so you’d think finding one that keeps up without getting in the way wouldn’t be that hard. It is. When our founder unexpectedly lost her eye in a snowboarding accident, she did what anyone would do—started looking for a patch she didn’t hate. All she found were ones that got in the way, took up half her face, messed up her hair, or just couldn’t keep up with her lifestyle. She created EYEHESIVE because she had to. First for herself. It was 2021. I had just started feeling grounded in who I was becoming. I’d gotten sober, was prioritizing my health, surrounding myself with a strong community, and building an aligned life. It felt like a new chapter was beginning. And then I lost my eye.
That experience changed my reality, but I didn’t want it to sideline me from everything I’d been building. I wanted to keep doing what I loved and showing up fully every damn day. I wanted my identity to be more than what happened to me.
As I began sharing my story, I quickly realized how many others were navigating eye loss, injury, surgery, and vision changes of their own. Different circumstances, same desire to keep moving forward and build a life they’re proud of.
What started as my own experience became something much bigger. A community of people choosing to keep living fully and refusing to sit on the sidelines of their own lives.
Today, EYEHESIVE is expanding beyond eye patches and bringing eye care into the conversations we’re already having about wellness and performance. Because losing an eye changed my life, but it didn’t take me out of it. If anything, it brought me closer to the one I was meant to build.

Who founded EYEHESIVE and why?
EYEHESIVE was founded by Shelby Perry after she unexpectedly lost her eye in a snowboarding accident in 2021. Already several years into her sobriety and building a life she was proud of, Shelby found herself searching for an eye patch that could keep up — and coming up empty. Everything available got in the way, fell off, covered half her face, or just couldn’t keep up with her lifestyle. So she built what didn’t exist. First for herself. Then for everyone else who deserves more than “good enough.” Today, EYEHESIVE has grown into a community and a movement — expanding beyond patches into full eye care with supplements, retreats, and a growing global community.
What does EYEHESIVE believe in?

Is EYEHESIVE only for people who have lost an eye?
No. While our founder’s personal experience with eye loss is at the heart of this brand, EYEHESIVE is for anyone who wears an eye patch for any reason — amblyopia, double vision, surgery recovery, light sensitivity, Bell’s palsy, retina tears, infection, trauma, and more. Our vision supplement is for anyone who wants to protect and support their eye health daily. You don’t have to have lost an eye to be part of this community. You just have to care about your vision.
What is the One-Eye Era Retreat?
The One-Eye Era Retreat is EYEHESIVE’s annual in-person community gathering — a space for connection, storytelling, and shared experience for people who understand this journey. What is your return policy?
We currently do not offer returns or exchanges on orders. Due to our strict quality and safety protocols, we’re unable to resell any products that have left our warehouse.
